16. A Model for Simulation of Fiber Suspension Flows
Sammanfattning : The fiber suspensions in the production line from wood topaper are subjected to many types of chemical and mechanicalprocesses, in which the flow of the suspension is of vitalimportance. The flow of the suspension determines the degree ofuniformity of the fibers through the processing, which inreturn affects the properties of the fiber suspension. LÄS MER
17. Exploring the nonlinear rheological behavior and optical properties of cellulose nanocrystal suspensions
Sammanfattning : Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs), with their versatile properties, offer immense potential in a range of applications, whether used independently or as sustainable reinforcements in polymers. They also find utility as renewable rheology modifiers in industries such as cosmetics, paints, and foods, where precise control over rheological characteristics is crucial for factors like product stability, prevention of splattering, and efficient processing and transportation. 18. Scattering Studies of Macromolecules in Solution
Sammanfattning : The sphere-to-rod transition of nonionic micelles of the PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer P123 and the surfactant C12EO6 was studied using dynamic and static light scattering, small angel X-ray scattering, rheology and calorimetry. The transition temperature was dependent of the C12EO6/P123 molar ratio, which means that a larger content of C12EO6 yields a higher transition temperature. LÄS MER
19. Application of Chemical Additives in Minerals Beneficiation – Implications on Grinding and Flotation Performance
Sammanfattning : The application of chemical additives, known as grinding aids (GAs), dates to 1930 in the cement industry. Unlike the cement industry, where the use of GAs is in the final processing step, it could be one of the first processing steps in ore beneficiation. LÄS MER
20. Complexation between hydrophobically modified polymers and amylose. Gelation and competition by surfactants
Sammanfattning : Aqueous mixtures of hydrophobically modified polymers (HMP) with amylose have been investigated by rheology and 1H NMR. Amylose can cross-link HMP chains by forming single-helical inclusion complexes with the hydrophobic side chains of the HMP, leading to thermoreversible, elastic, and thixotropic gels at ambient temperatures.
