36. CAD-Model Parsing for Automated Design and Design Evaluation
Sammanfattning : Product development has both innovative and analytic sides. Starting from the requirements, a design suggestion is generated. In order to assess how well the envisioned design fulfils the requirements, it is sometimes necessary to build a computer model of it for the analysis. LÄS MER
37. Gifting Technologies : Ethnographic Studies of End-users and Social Media Sharing
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores what dimensions that can be used to describe and compare the sociotechnical practice of content contribution in online sharing networks. Data was collected through online ethnographical methods, focusing on end-users in three large media sharing networks. LÄS MER
38. Essays on Inequality, Insolvency and Innovation
Sammanfattning : First Impressions Last – Does Inequality Increase Status Consumption and Household Debt? (with Elin Molin): Recent decades have seen an increase in income inequality and household debt-to-GDP ratios in many countries, and several studies have suggested that higher income inequality spurs borrowing among nonrich households through their preference to "Keep up with the Joneses". In this paper, we show that standard Keeping up with the Joneses utility functions cannot generate this relationship unless one imposes the implausible assumption that the rich are more impatient than the nonrich. 39. Model-Based Verification of Dynamic System Behavior against Requirements : Method, Language, and Tool
Sammanfattning : Modeling and simulation of complex systems is at the heart of any modern engineering activity. Engineers strive to predict the behavior of the system under development in order to get answers to particular questions long before physical prototypes or the actual system are built and can be tested in real life. 40. Efficient Memory Utilization in Resource Constrained Real-Time Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents design and run-time techniques for efficient memory utilization in embedded real-time systems. The proposed techniques give developers means to reduce the memory consumption in the systems. LÄS MER
