21. Study of Mutual Coupling in Finite Antenna Arrays for Massive MIMO Applications
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the study of mutual coupling (MC) in finite antenna arrays for base station antennas (BSAs) for Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) applications, with an emphasis on the development of a computationally-efficient modeling technique for the analysis of MC which can be readily applied in the design or synthesis schemes for BSAs. Traditionally, the effects of MC have been ignored or underestimated in the analyses performed within the information-theoretic-based communities by assuming idealized antenna elements with no MC between them or by considering the fictitious isotropic radiator models. 22. Är det bara jag? Om sexism och rasism i läkarutbildningens vardag : erfarenheter, förklaringar och strategier bland läkarstudenter
Sammanfattning : Background: Medical education is characterized by unequal conditions for women/men and white/racialized students. Even subtle interactional processes of inclusion and exclusion convey messages about who rightfully belongs in medical school. Insights into these processes, though, are scarce – especially in the Swedish context. LÄS MER
23. Development and Validation of a Numerical Tool for the Aeromechanical Design of Turbomachinery
Sammanfattning : In aeromechanical design one of the major rules is to operate under High Cyclic Fatigue (HCF) margins and away from flutter. The level of dynamic excitations and risk of HCF can be estimated by performing forced response analyses from blade row interaction forces or Low Engine Order (LEO) excitation mechanisms. LÄS MER
24. Implementation of the spectral element method and iterative solution techniques for 3D controlled-source electromagnetic modelling
Sammanfattning : Controlled-source electromagnetic methods are imaging techniques applied at/on the surface of the Earth which record the electromagnetic field in order to assess the electrical conductivity distribution of the Earth’s subsurface, along with anomalies in this material property, as well as to characterise and interpret structures in Earth’s crust. Extracting information from the recorded electromagnetic data requires inverse modelling algorithms. LÄS MER
25. Iterative Methods for Solving the Cauchy Problem for the Helmholtz Equation
Sammanfattning : The inverse problem of reconstructing the acoustic, or electromagnetic, field from inexact measurements on a part of the boundary of a domain is important in applications, for instance for detecting the source of acoustic noise. The governing equation for the applications we consider is the Helmholtz equation. LÄS MER
