  1. 1. Evaluation of Modular Thermally Driven Heat Pump Systems

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Eva Thorin; Chris Bales; Christian Schweigler; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sorption heat pump; sorption module; thermochemical energy storage; artificial neural network; built environment; solar energy; gas-driven heat pump; solar cooling; heating and cooling; renewable energy; energy efficiency; experimental; simulation; analytical; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik; Reesbe företagsforskarskola;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of primary energy use within the European Union, therefore reductions in the energy use intensity of this sector are critical in decreasing total energy usage. Given that the majority of energy used within the built environment is for space conditioning and domestic hot water preparation, prudence would suggest that decreasing primary energy used for these end purposes would have the biggest overall environmental impact. 2. 2. Capacity Control of Residential Heat Pump Heating Systems

    Författare :Fredrik Karlsson; RISE; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy efficiency; variable-speed; air-source; performance; hydronic heating system; ground-source; heat pump; defrost; optimisation; circulator; capacity control;

    Sammanfattning : Heat pumps used for space and sanitary hot water heating of residential buildings are increasingly popular in northern Europe. As they compete with other heating equipment and in order to limit the environmental impact of their use, it is very important that heat pumps are energy efficient. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Apply heat pump systems in commercial household products to reduce environmental impact : How to halve the electricity consumption for a household dishwasher

    Författare :Peder Bengtsson; Jonas Berghel; Per Lundqvist; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; household appliance; electricity consumption; heat pump; environmental impact; Miljö- och energisystem; Environmental and Energy Systems;

    Sammanfattning : In the household appliance industry, heat pump systems have been used for a long time in refrigerators and freezers to cool food, and the industry has driven the development of small, high-quality, low-price heat pump components. In the last few decades, heat pump systems have been introduced in other household appliances, with the express purpose of reducing electricity consumption. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Solar heat pump systems for heating applications : Analysis of system performance and possible solutions for improving system performance

    Författare :Stefano Poppi; Per Lundqvist; Chris Bales; Kai Siren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solar heat pump systems; techno-economics; solar thermal; system improvements; cost-effectiveness; Energiteknik; Energy Technology; MacSheep;

    Sammanfattning : Solar heat pump systems (SHPs) are systems that combine solar energy and heat pumps. SHPs have been investigated for several decades and have been proven to increase the share of renewable energy and reduce electric energy demand in residential heating applications. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Experimental Investigation of Refrigerant Charge Minimisation of a Small Capacity Heat Pump

    Författare :W. Primal D. Fernando; Björn Palm; Alberto Gavallini; KTH; []
