  1. 11. Analysis of the Fatigue Characteristics of Mooring Lines and Power Cables for Floating Wave Energy Converters

    Författare :Shun-Han Yang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mooring line; power cable; fatigue; coupled analysis; power absorption; experiment; wave energy converter; heaving point absorber; computational modelling; marine biofouling effect on fatigue;

    Sammanfattning : To reduce greenhouse gas emissions and expand the energy mix, there is a pressing need for the exploitation of renewable sources of energy, such as biomass, hydropower, solar power, waves, and wind. This thesis focuses on ocean wave energy and its applications. LÄS MER

  2. 12. High Power Microwave Sources : design and experiments

    Författare :Cecilia Möller; Nils Brenning; Stefan Silfverskiöld; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Space physics; Rymdfysik; Plasma physics; Plasmafysik;

    Sammanfattning : High-Power Microwaves (HPM) can be used to intentionally disturb or destroy electronic equipment at a distance by inducing high voltages and currents. This thesis presents results from experiments with a narrow band HPM source, the vircator. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Stora nordiska kriget förklarat : Karl XII och det ideologiska tilltalet

    Författare :Peter Ericsson; Nils-Erik Villstrand; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; History; the Great Northern War; Charles XII; absolute state; early modern state; corporate body; ideology; communication; ideological address; Sweden; body politic; feudal priviledges; peasantry; religon; ordinances; taxation; Historia; History subjects; Historieämnen; Historia; History;

    Sammanfattning : Neither earlier nor later in Swedish history have such great resources been claimed for the requirements of war as during the great northern war (1700–1721). This dissertation sets out to answer two questions: Which were the ideological addresses used to explain the war politics? How were these addresses related to each other? The source-material used consists of royal ordinances, religious texts and correspondance between the king and various officials. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Stormaktstidens Stockholm tar gestalt : gaturegleringen i Stockholm 1625-1650

    Författare :Linnea Forsberg; Kekke Stadin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Stadsplanering; Gatuplanering; Sverige; Stockholm; 1600-talet; Stockholm; historia; 1600-talet;

    Sammanfattning : Stockholm, in just a few decades, was transformed from a largely medieval fortress town to a modern capital city. The street regulation which was carried out in Stockholm during the years 1625-1650 and which in the central parts of the city still exist as a recognizable pattern for streets and city blocks was an important part of this transformation. 5. 15. High temperature corrosion in a biomass-fired power boiler : Reducing furnace wall corrosion in a waste wood-fired power plant with advanced steam data

    Författare :Yousef Alipour; Pamela Henderson; Peter Szalalos; Christofer Leygraf; Jan Froitzheim; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; High temperature corrosion; Waterwalls; Power plant corrosion; NOx reducing enviroments; Biomass; Waste wood; Thermodynamic calculation modelling; corrosion-resistance alloy; Furnace wall corrosion; Högtemperaturekorrosion; Eldstadsväggar; kraftverks korrosion; låg Nox mijöer; biomassa; returträ; Termodynamisk modellering; korrosionsbeständighet legering; eldstadskorrosion;

    Sammanfattning : The use of waste (or recycled) wood as a fuel in heat and power stations is becoming more widespread in Sweden (and Europe), because it is CO2 neutral with a lower cost than forest fuel. However, it is a heterogeneous fuel with a high amount of chlorine, alkali and heavy metals which causes more corrosion than fossil fuels or forest fuel. LÄS MER
