21. Conformations of Flexible Oligosaccharides : Molecular Simulations and NMR spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : The conformational preferences of several oligosaccharides are investigated herein using a combination of NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, focusing on the torsion angles associated with the glycosidic linkages.Strategies for obtaining usable J-HMBC spectra for carbons with an adjacent 13C label are described. 22. Flexible Information-Flow Control
Sammanfattning : As more and more sensitive data is handled by software, its trustworthiness becomes an increasingly important concern. This thesis presents work on ensuring that information processed by computing systems is not disclosed to third parties without the user's permission; i.e. to prevent unwanted flows of information. 23. Graphene FET terahertz detectors on flexible substrates
Sammanfattning : Terahertz (THz) science and technology have developed rapidly over the past decades, extending the THz application areas from spectroscopy and earth and space sciences to communications, biomedicine and security sensing. Many of these emerging applications require shape-conforming, light-weight and low-cost detectors rather than existing solid-state detection technology. LÄS MER
24. Ag2S-Based Flexible Memristors for Neuromorphic Computing
Sammanfattning : Memristive crossbar arrays hold the great promise for fast and energy efficient neuromorphic computing due to their parallel data storage and processing capabilities. As the key component, memristor should achieve stable resistance switching (RS) characteristics with low energy inputs and be compatible with complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) technology. 25. Mechanistic-Empirical Modelling of Flexible Pavement Performance : Verifications Using APT Measurements
Sammanfattning : Mechanistic-Empirical (M-E) pavement design procedures are composed of a reliable response model to estimate the state of stress in the pavement and distress models in order to predict the different types of pavement distresses due to the prevailing traffic and environmental conditions. One of the main objectives of this study was to develop a response model based on multilayer elastic theory (MLET) with improved computational performance by optimizing the time consuming parts of the MLET processes.
