  1. 21. Dynamic analysis of a novel electromagnetic transducer for hybrid vehicle and experimental verification

    Författare :Sylvain Chatelet; Chandur Sadarangani; Jorma Luomi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Machines and Drives; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results of the work carried out on the dynamic analysis and experimental performance measurements of a novel concept of electromagnetic system for hybrid vehicle powertrains. The main focus of this work is to present how this novel electromagnetic system can be operated in a hybrid vehicle and to show how a prototype of this system has succesfully been operated in a laboratory set-up. 2. 22. A Broad View on the Interpretation of Electromagnetic Data (VLF, RMT, MT, CSTMT)

    Författare :Behrooz Oskooi; Laust Börsting Pedersen; Thorkild Mack Rasmussen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Geophysics; Airborne; azimuthal anisotropy; CSTMT; distortion; EM; geothermal; Hengill; mineralization; MT; peaker; resolution; RMT; tipper; tensor VLF; VLF; Geofysik; Geophysics; Geofysik;

    Sammanfattning : The resolution power of single Very Low Frequency (VLF) data and multi-frequency Radiomagnetotelluric (RMT) data in delineating conductive structures typical for the sedimentary cover and crystalline basement in Scandinavia is studied with a view to future developments of the technique to increasing the frequency range into the LW radio band. Airborne and ground VLF data are interpreted and correlated with RMT measurements made on the ground to better understand the resolution power of VLF data. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Analysis of Planar and Circular Cylindrical Multilayer Structures with Application to Soft and Hard Surfaces

    Författare :Zvonimir Sipus; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; antennas; periodic surfaces; integral equations; approximate boundary conditions; soft and hard surfaces; Green s functions; corrugated surfaces; moment method; periodic metal strips; multilayer structures; EFIE; microstrip antennas; spectral domain analysis; group representation theory; strip scatterers;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the analysis of planar and circular cylindrical multilayer structures, such as strip-loaded dielectric layers, corrugated surfaces and microstrip antennas. In particular, we study corrugations and strip-loaded grounded dielectric slabs when they are used to realize soft and hard surfaces. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Metal fusion using pulsed GasMetal Arc : Melt pool modellingand CFD simulation

    Författare :Pradip Aryal; Isabelle Choquet; Muriel Carin; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gas metal arc; Electromagnetic force modelling; Free surface deformation; Computational Fluid Dynamics; OpenFOAM; Gasmetallbågsvetsning; Svetsläge; Elektromagnetiskkraftmodellering; Smältytans rörelser; Computational Fluid Dynamics; OpenFOAM; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Pulsed gas metal arc is a highly efficient technique used in manufacturing processes like welding and additive manufacturing. It offers high productivity and cost benefits but it is also prone to defect formation when process parameters are not properly controlled and optimized. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Three-Dimensional Modelling and Inversion of DC resistivity and Time Domain EM data using Multi-Resolution Framework

    Författare :Jingyu Gao; Thorkild Maack Rasmussen; Maxim Smirnov; Bülent Tezkan; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; DC Resistivity; time-domain electromagnetic; forward modelling; data inversion; Prospekteringsgeofysik; Exploration Geophysics;

    Sammanfattning : 3-D forward modelling and inversion techniques play an important role in data interpretation, but they are still computationally challenging tasks. Therefore, this thesis aims to improve forward modelling and inversion performance using novel multi-resolution (MR) grid approach. LÄS MER
