16. Neutron-Deuteron Scattering and Three-Body Interactions
Sammanfattning : High-precision differential cross section data of the neutron-deuteron elastic scattering reaction at 95 MeV are presented. The neutron-proton scattering differential cross section was also measured and used as a reference to allow an accurate absolute normalization of the neutron-deuteron data. LÄS MER
17. Studies of PWO Crystals and Simulations of the p̅p →Λ̅Λ, Λ̅Σ0 Reactions for the PANDA Experiment
Sammanfattning : The thesis comprises investigations of two topics related to the PANDA experiment. The first part is dedicated to energy resolution and light yield uniformity studies of PWO crystals for the electromagnetic calorimeter. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to simulation studies of the p̅p→Λ̅Λ and the p̅p→Λ̅Σ0 channels. LÄS MER
18. Experimental Fission Studies at Intermediate Energies
Sammanfattning : A series of nuclear fission experiments have been performed in the intermediate energy range. The dynamics of the fission process have been studied by means of detection of neutrons emitted from compound nuclei formed by ion beams of protons, α-particles, and 12C-ions, all at a beam energy of 100 MeV. 19. Heavy particle interference and diffraction in fast electron transfer collisions
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents experimental results from the synchrotron cooler and storage ring CRYRING on charge transfer processes in fast electron transfer collisions using high-resolution cold target recoil-ion momentum spectroscopy. The main focus of these studies was to investigate a key concept of quantum mechanics: the wave-particle duality. LÄS MER
20. Theoretical studies of chemical dynamics on excited states, driven by non-adiabatic effects : Charge recombination reactions
Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on theoretical studies of molecular collisions occurring at relatively low to intermediate collision energies. The collisions are called dissociative recombination (DR) and mutual neutralization (MN). LÄS MER
