  1. 16. Early structural and metamorphic evolution of the Scandinavian Caledonides: a study of the eclogite-bearing Seve Nappe Complex at the Arctic Circle, Sweden

    Författare :Lena Gunlög Albrecht; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; oblique compression.; C -type shear bands; anastomozing shear zones; tubular folds; lineation-parallel folds; northern Sweden; Grapesvare Nappe; Seve Nappe Complex; Finnmarkian; Eclogite; corona dolerite; Petrology; mineralogy; geochemistry; Petrologi; mineralogi; geokemi;

    Sammanfattning : In the Seve Nappe Complex of the Swedish Caledonides, coronitic diabases pass into eclogites; sometimes the transition occurs within one and the same boudin. Calculated pressure-temperature conditions for the eclogite facies stage are 20-27 kbar and 650-750°. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Material characterization of AA7075-T651 deformed at different temperatures and strain rates

    Författare :Biswajit Dalai; Lars-Erik Lindgren; Paul Åkerström; Marta-Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis, the mechanical response and the microstructure evolution in aluminum alloy (AA) 7075 in its T651 heat treated state have been studied through mechanical tests at varied conditions of strain rate and temperature.First, compression tests were performed on AA7075-T651 samples at room temperature (RT), 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 °C (melting temperature of AA7075 is ~635 °C) with two comparatively low strain rates of 0. 3. 18. On Thermomechanical Fatigue of Single-Crystal Superalloys

    Författare :Mikael Segersäll; Johan Moverare; Jonathan Cormier; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Thanks to their excellent mechanical and chemical properties at temperatures up to 1000 °C, nickel-based superalloys are used in critical components in high-temperature applications such as gas turbines and aero engines. One of the most critical components in a gas turbine is the turbine blade, and to improve the creep and fatigue properties of this component, it is sometimes cast in single-crystal form rather than in the more conventional poly-crystalline form. 4. 19. High-Temperature Behaviour of Austenitic Alloys : Influence of Temperature and Strain Rate on Mechanical Properties and Microstructural Development

    Författare :Mattias Calmunger; Sten Johansson; Guocai Chai; Johan Moverare; Göran Engberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The global increase in energy consumption and the global warming from greenhouse gas emission creates the need for more environmental friendly energy production processes. Biomass power plants with higher efficiency could generate more energy but also reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, e.g. CO2. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Nickel-Based Single-Crystal Superalloys : the crystal orientation influence on high temperature properties

    Författare :Mikael Segersäll; Johan Moverare; Kjell Simonsson; Daniel Leidermark; Roger Reed; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Superalloys are a group of materials that are used in high temperature applications, for example gas turbines and aero engines. Gas turbines are most commonly used for power generation, and it is only the very critical components which are exposed to the most severe conditions within the turbine, which are made from superalloy material.
