  1. 6. On Visual Area Coverage Using Micro Aerial Vehicles

    Författare :Sina Sharif Mansouri; George Nikolakopoulos; Thomas Gustafsson; Andreas Johansson; Pantelis Sopasakis; Jana Tumova; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this Licentiate is to advance the field of cooperative visual coverage path planners for multiple Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs), while aiming for their real life adoption towards the tasks of aerial infrastructure inspection. The fields that will be addressed are focusing in: a) the collaborative perception of the environment, b) the collaborative visual inspection, and c) the optimization of the aerial missions based on the remaining flying battery, camera constraints, coverage constraints and other real life mission induced constraints. 2. 7. Planning and Control of Cooperative Multi-Agent Manipulator-Endowed Systems

    Författare :Christos Verginis; Dimos V. Dimarogonas; Pedro Lima; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multi-agent systems; Temporal logics; Cooperative manipulation; Motion planning; Control; Navigation; Action planning; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Multi-agent planning and control is an active and increasingly studied topic of research, with many practical applications, such as rescue missions, security, surveillance, and transportation. More specifically, cases that involve complex manipulator-endowed systems  deserve extra attention due to potential complex cooperative manipulation tasks and their interaction with the environment. 3. 8. Augmenting L1 Adaptive Control of Piecewise Constant Type to Aerial Vehicles

    Författare :Anders Pettersson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : In aerial vehicle control design, the industrial baseline is to use robust control methods together with gain-scheduling to cover the full airspeed and altitude flight envelope. An adaptive controller could possibly add value by increasing performance while keeping robustness to deviation from nominal assumptions. LÄS MER

    Författare :Linnea Persson; Bo Wahlberg; Tor Arne Johansen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cooperative control; autonomous landings; rendezvous; UAV; drone; USV; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Cooperation is increasingly being applied in the control of interconnected multi-agent systems, and it introduces many benefits. In particular, cooperation can improve the efficiency of many types of missions, and adds flexibility and robustness against external disturbances or unknown obstacles. LÄS MER

  5. 10. On Visual Perception for an Aerial Robotic Worker

    Författare :Christoforos Kanellakis; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Micro Aerial Vehicles and especially multi rotors are gaining more and more attention for accomplishing complex tasks, considering their simple mechanical design and their versatile movement. MAVs are ideal candidates to perform tasks autonomously, to work safely in close proximity and in collaboration with humans, and to operate safely and effectively in natural human environments, like infrastructure inspection-maintenance, underground mine operations and surveillance missions.
