  1. 31. Differentiated Supply Chain Strategy - Response to a fragmented and complex market

    Författare :Per Hilletofth; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Supply chain management; strategies; differentiation; globalization; complexity; Industrial engineering and economy; Industriell teknik och ekonomi; Technology; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Supply Chain Management (SCM) aims to synchronize the requirements of customers with the flow of materials from suppliers, in order to satisfy the needs of the customers as costefficiently as possible. This has become a difficult task due to several developments in the market, such as increased competition, increased demand variability, increased product variety, increased amounts of customer-specific products, and shortening product life cycles. 2. 32. Science-policy interaction in the governance of complex socio-ecological risks : The case of chemicals management in the Baltic Sea

    Författare :Oksana Udovyk; Michael Gilek; Johan Hedrén; Sivlio Funtowicz; Södertörns högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Risk; Uncertainty; MSFD; HELCOM; REACH; post-normal science; precautionary; participation; Östersjö- och Östeuropaforskning; Baltic and East European studies;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, I examine knowledge production and science-policy interaction associated with the management of chemical substances in the Baltic Sea under conditions of uncertainty and complexity. The thesis is primarily based on a qualitative analysis of policy documents and reports produced by the European Union (EU), the Helsinki Commission, the Swedish Chemicals Agency, and Gothenburg municipality, as well as 30 semi-structured interviews with scientific experts, policy makers, and government officials with knowledge and working experience in the relevant policy arenas. 3. 33. Inducible and constitutive modes of gene regulation by the dioxin receptor and Arnt

    Författare :Camilla Antonsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Heterodimeric complexes between the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)/PAS (Per-Arnt-Sim) transcription factors, dioxin receptor and Arnt, are involved in mediating cellular responses to 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (dioxin). The unliganded dioxin receptor is found in the cytoplasm complexed with the 90-kDa heat shock protein hsp90, in a latent inactive (non-DNA binding) configuration. LÄS MER

  4. 34. Sharing the Good - Modes of Managing Water Resources in the Lower Mekong River Basin

    Författare :Joakim Öjendal; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Water; water management; conflict; Mekong; Lower Mekong Basin; Cambodia; development; alternative development; hydropolitics; Southeast Asia;

    Sammanfattning : The general purpose of this thesis is to provide an empirically based study of International River Basin management in order to contribute to the global policy debate on water resources management and the role of water in the development process. The thesis reviews the recent ‘water management’ debate and a number of theoretical positions on the topic. LÄS MER

  5. 35. NMR structral studies on ruthenium complexes binding to DNA

    Författare :Lisha Wu; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NMR; DNA binding; Ru-complex dimer; CD; fluorescence; molecular dynamics simulation;

    Sammanfattning : The Ru-complex Λ,Λ-[bidppz(bipy)4Ru2]4+ (Λ,Λ-B) exhibits multiple modes of interactions with the palindromic DNA dodecamer [d(CGCGAATTCGCG)]2, however excluding any type of intercalation as shown by both optical spectroscopy and NMR. NMR observation of Λ,Λ-B titration into a DNA solution results in both a transient binding, with observation of fast exchange for protons located near the ends of the DNA duplex, and a more stable interaction in the DNA minor groove indicated by a slow exchange mechanism and binding sites for G2, G4 and A5 of the same DNA strand.
