  1. 6. Thermal response tests : influence of convective flow in groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger

    Författare :Anna-Maria Gustafsson; Jeffrey D. Spitler; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vattenteknik; Water Resources Engineering; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this doctorial thesis was to investigate how thermally induced movements in the groundwater (natural convective flow) may influence the heat transport in borehole and surrounding bedrock in a groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger system. The purpose was also to determine if thermal response tests could be used to detect the convective influence and the effect on evaluated heat transfer parameters, effective bedrock thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance. 2. 7. Optimization of ground-coupled systems for heating and cooling of buildings

    Författare :Jüri Naumov; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; free-cooling; brine temperature; heat pump; ground system; heating demand; storage; building load; cooling demand; Borehole;

    Sammanfattning : The use of ground-coupled systems in commercial buildings offers economic as well as environmental advantages. When both heating and cooling is required, a ground-coupled system can function both as a heat source and a heat sink. At the same time, it can also serve as a short term as well as a seasonal storage. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : U-pipe Borehole Heat Exchangers (BHE) are widely used today in ground source heating and cooling systems in spite of their less than optimal performance. This thesis provides a better understanding on the function of U-pipe BHEs and Investigates alternative methods to reduce the temperature difference between the circulating fluid and the borehole wall, including one thermosyphon and three different types of coaxial BHEs. 5. 10. Borehole Thermal Energy Storage Systems for Storage of Industrial Excess Heat : Performance Evaluation and Modelling

    Författare :Emil Nilsson; Patrik Rohdin; Maria Andersson; Mathias Cehlin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Improving industrial energy efficiency is considered an important factor in reducing carbon dioxide emissions and counteract climate change. For many industrial companies in cold climates, heat generated at the site in summer will not be needed to fulfil the site heat demand during this time, and is thus removed to the outdoor air. LÄS MER
