  1. 16. On the Residual Stresses and Microstructure Formation of Aluminum-Silicon Cast Alloys

    Författare :Mohsen Sadrossadat; Sten Johansson; Ru Lin Peng; Ingvar L Svensson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Al-Si alloys; residual stresses; microstructure; microsegregation; nucleation behavior; modeling; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Cast aluminum-silicon alloys are being increasingly used in automotive and aerospace industries for critical structure applications because of their excellent castability, low density, acceptable mechanical properties and low cost. Different casting and heat treatment parameters largely affect the microstructure and residual stress of the components, which in turn, has a great impact on their mechanical properties. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Anchorage in Concrete Structures : Numerical and Experimental Evaluations of Load-Carrying Capacity of Cast-in-Place Headed Anchors and Post-Installed Adhesive Anchors

    Författare :Rasoul Nilforoush; Lennart Elfgren; Norbert Randl; Karin Lundgren; Manouchehr Hassanzadeh; Richard Malm; Lars-Erik Persson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Headed anchor; Anchor bolt; Adhesive anchor; Concrete cone breakout; Concrete splitting; Pullout loading; Size effect; Member thickness; Anchor head size; Orthogonal surface reinforcement; Concrete Strength; High-strength concrete; Cracked concrete; Steel fiber-reinforced concrete; Sustained loading; Creep behavior; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Various anchorage systems including both cast-in-place and post-installed anchors have been developed for fastening both non-structural and structural components to concrete structures. The need for increased flexibility in the design of new structures and strengthening of existing concrete structures has led to increased use of various metallic anchors in practice. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Surface Modification of Cellulose-based Materials for Tailoring of Interfacial Interactions

    Författare :Simon Utsel; Lars Wågberg; Simon Biggs; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The awareness of our need for a sustainable society has encouraged the search for renewable, high quality materials that can replace oil-based products. This, in combination with increased competition in the forest industry, has stimulated a lot of research into different types of wood-based materials where cellulose-rich fibers are combined with different types of polymers.
