16. Post-translational modification of estrogen receptor alpha and p53 in breast cancer cells
Sammanfattning : Estrogen receptor α (ERα/ESR1) and tumor protein p53 (p53/TP53) signaling are aberrant and play important roles in breast cancer pathogenesis and evolution. ERα is highly expressed in the majority of breast cancers and is an important contributor to the development of these tumors. LÄS MER
17. DNA double-strand break repair in ascomycetes
Sammanfattning : Nonhomologous end joining (NHEJ) and homologous recombination (HR) are two pathways for DNA double strand break (DSB) repair. We found that the NHEJ protein Nej1 interacted physically with the HR protein Srs2, which was dependent on phosphorylation of Nej1 by Dun1. Srs2 recruitment to a DSB partly relied on Nej1 and Dun1. 18. Cbl in Regulation of Growth Factor Receptor Endocytosis and Actin Dynamics
Sammanfattning : Proteins belonging to the Cbl family are multidomain scaffolds that participate in numerous processes, assembling signaling complexes and mediating attachment of ubiquitin to receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases. We characterized a novel role for Cbl and Cbl-b in ligand-dependent internalization of growth factor receptors. 19. Structural insights into protein-protein interactions governing regulation in transcription initiation and ubiquitination
Sammanfattning : Virtually every aspect of the cellular processes in eukaryotes requires that the interactions between protein molecules are well coordinated in different regulatory pathways. Any protein dysfunction involved in these regulatory pathways might lead to various pathological conditions. LÄS MER
20. Adaptor Proteins in Regulation of Receptor Endocytosis
Sammanfattning : Ligand-induced endocytosis of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) is a dynamic process governed by numerous protein-protein and protein-lipid interactions. This is a major mechanism of signal termination and is also frequently impaired in cancer. LÄS MER
