  1. 1. Hydrological Modelling, Topographical Influence and Yield Mapping in Precision Agriculture

    Författare :Andreas Persson; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spatially distributed hydrological modelling; Precision Agriculture; Yield mapping; Topographical wetness index; Drainage area; Lantbrukshydrologi; marklära; agricultural hydrology; Soil Science;

    Sammanfattning : The use of topographical data in hydrological and agricultural applications has increased with GPS data availability and the concept of precision agriculture. This thesis investigates the relationships between topography and in one case simulated soil moisture and in the other case yield. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The role of roads on hydrological response : Modeling and assessment for Swedish watersheds

    Författare :Alireza Nickman; Per-Erik Jansson; Lars Rosen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GIS; Roads; Flooding; HEC-HMS; Sweden; Mark- och vattenteknik; Land and Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Understanding the role of road networks in alteration of hydrological responses is crucial for maintaining the accessibility and durability of road infrastructures. Road construction is one of the most common man made disturbances to a landscape. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Subsurface dams in water resource management : methods for assessment and location

    Författare :Imran Ali Jamali; Bo Olofsson; Stephen Foster; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Subsurface dams; Groundwater; GIS; Regolith thickness; Groundwater; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Natural groundwater storage can be improved by constructing a subsurface barrier that is a subsurface dam, in order to capture the subsurface flows and raise the groundwater levels (GWLs) in the sediment layers. Subsurface dams are preferable to surface dams because of lower evaporation, higher functionality, lower cost of construction, lessened risk for contamination and the possibility of utilizing land over the dam.
