16. Key Technologies in Low-cost Integrated Vehicle Navigation Systems
Sammanfattning : Vehicle navigation systems incorporate on-board sensors/signal receivers and provide necessary positioning and guidance information for land, marine, airborne and space vehicles. Among different navigation solutions, the Global Positioning System (GPS) and an Inertial Navigation System (INS) are two basic navigation systems. LÄS MER
17. The materiality of media discourse : on capitalism and journalistic modes of writing
Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study is to analyse the relationship between the capitalist hegemonic order and the mass media, with the latter restricted to two elite newspapers (Swedish DN and Slovenian Delo) and the selection of news materials from three bodies of international media coverage: NATO’s military intervention in former Yugoslavia, 1999, the political demonstrations against the IMF and the World Bank in Prague, 2000, and 9/11, 2001. There are two sub-purposes, one theoretical-methodological and one political-democratic. LÄS MER
18. Motion and Structure Estimation From Video
Sammanfattning : Digital camera equipped cell phones were introduced in Japan in 2001, they quickly became popular and by 2003 outsold the entire stand-alone digital camera market. In 2010 sales passed one billion units and the market is still growing. LÄS MER
19. Advanced Fluid-Structure Interaction Modelling and Simulation for Aerospace Applications
Sammanfattning : Numerical fluid-structure interaction (FSI) methods for the prediction of aeroelastic phenomena are important within aerospace. The continuous development of computer technologies has enabled the use of more advanced FSI methods. The use of advanced methods has the potential to provide more accurate predictions. LÄS MER
20. Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy and Spectroscopy of Adsorbates on Aluminium and Silicon
Sammanfattning : The main topic of this thesis is the investigation of atomic andmolecular adsorbates on single crystal surfaces of silicon and aluminiumusing the techniques of scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) andspectroscopy (STS). The emphasis has been to use atomic-resolutionspectroscopy and imaging to determine the relationship between thesurfaces' geometric and electronic structures. LÄS MER
