  1. 21. The use of Fenton chemistry for reducing the refining energy during TMP production : the effect of free ferrous and free or chelated ferric ions

    Författare :Karin Walter; Per Engstrand; Magnus Paulsson; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The potential of using acid hydrogen peroxide under Fenton conditions to lowerthe electrical energy consumed during the production of Black spruce (Piceamariana) thermomechanical pulp (TMP) was investigated in pilot scale. Thechemical system, which consisted of ferrous sulphate, hydrogen peroxide andoptionally an enhancer (such as a chelating agent), was evaluated as an inter-stagetreatment. LÄS MER

  2. 22. On the determination and application of local filtration properties

    Författare :Peter Sedin; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Technology; Kemisk teknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Filtration is a mechanical unit-operation used for the separation of liquid and solid. In this work, the three sub-operations cake build-up, expression and washing have been studied. One difficulty often encountered in the design of filtration equipment is that the materials being filtered form more or less compressible filter cakes. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Treatment of Wastewater Generated by Wood-based Dry Industries : Advances Oxidation Processes & Electrocoagulation

    Författare :Henrik Hansson; William Hogland; Marcia Marques; Ollie Dahl; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Advanced oxidation processes; Electrocoagulation; Fenton; Industrial storm-water; Ozone; Respirometry assays; Wastewater; Wood floor industry.; Environmental Chemistry; Miljökemi;

    Sammanfattning : Wood is a material with an enormous number of applications. For decades, the development of wastewater treatment technologies tailored for the wood sector has focused on those industries that have water as an integral part of the industrial production, such as paper and pulp.
