  1. 41. Moved by movement: A person-centered approach to physical therapy in the treatment of major depression

    Författare :Louise Danielsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; depression; exercise; physical therapy; body awareness; randomized controlled trial; hermeneutic phenomenology;

    Sammanfattning : Major depression (MD) is a common and debilitating condition. To expand knowledge on adjunctive treatment perspectives, this thesis explores a physical therapy approach in the treatment of MD. LÄS MER

  2. 42. Knowledge Representation, Heuristics, and Awareness in Artificial Grammar Learning

    Författare :Tobias Johansson; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; abstraction; awareness.; non-analytic processing; Artificial grammar learning; fluency; implicit learning;

    Sammanfattning : People can become sensitive to the general structure of different parts of the environment, often without studying that general structure directly, but through being incidentally exposed to instances that conform to the structure. When such learning proceeds unintentionally and gives rise to knowledge that is difficult to verbalize it is often referred to as implicit learning. LÄS MER

  3. 43. Phenomenological modelling of sensory integration phenomena using self-organized feature maps

    Författare :Tamas Jantvik; Wlodzislaw Duch; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : The main contribution of the work presented herein is a method of transferring information from one lattice of artificial neural units to another. The essence of the present method consists of four parts: (1) the wrapping of the artificial neural lattice into a module that given an input to this lattice outputs normalized coordinates for the location of peak activity and the magnitude of the activity at that location; (2) the inter-module exchange of information being carried out by using the coordinates of the neuron that respond the strongest to the input given to the artificial neural lattice; (3) the concept of the transformation map which re-maps normalized coordinates from one module's output space on another's; and (4) fusion carried out by summation of activity fields induced by artificial neural lattices. 4. 44. Psychosocially supportive design in the indoor environment

    Författare :Geza Fischl; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering Psychology; Teknisk psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : A built environment is psychosocially supportive, when its quality can strengthen or sustain the ability of an individual to perform his/her role, conduct him-/herself in society, and communicate or interact with others in accordance to his/her values, interest, and self-concept. The aim of this thesis was to investigate potential methods in design and re-design for identification, visualization, and evaluation of such environmental qualities. LÄS MER

  5. 45. Ophthalmologic characteristics andneuropediatric findings. With special emphasis on children adopted from eastern Europe

    Författare :Marita Andersson Grönlund; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :adoption; eastern Europe; visual function; ocular dimensions; pre-and perinatal; neuropediatric; ; attention deficit hyperactivity disorder AD HD ; fetal alcohol syndrome FAS ;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: To evaluate and relate visual function and ocular features to neuropediatric findings in a population-based group of children adopted from eastern Europe (Papers I-III) and in children with attentiondeficit hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), with and without treatment with stimulants (Paper IV).Methods: 99 children born 1990 1995 in eastern Europe and adopted to western Sweden during1993 1997 were invited to participate.
