21. Low-angle estimation : Models, methods and bounds
Sammanfattning : In this work we study the performance of elevation estimators and lower bounds on the estimation error variance for a low angle target in a smooth sea scenario using an array antenna. The article is structured around some key assumptions on multipath knowledge, signal parameterization and noise covariance, giving the reader a framework in which Maximum Likelihood estimators exploiting different á priori information can be found. 22. Models for tracking in automotive safety systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis treats the three main components of a tracking system: motion models, sensor models and implementation architecture. A tracking system utilizes models to extract as much information as possible from a set of sensors, with the purpose of estimating the state of a dynamic system. LÄS MER
23. Statistical inference with deep latent variable models
Sammanfattning : Finding a suitable way to represent information in a dataset is one of the fundamental problems in Artificial Intelligence. With limited labeled information, unsupervised learning algorithms help to discover useful representations. LÄS MER
24. Color Prediction and Separation Models in Printing : Minimizing the Colorimetric and Spectral Differences employing Multiple Characterization Curves
Sammanfattning : Color prediction models and color separation models are essential for print device characterization and calibration, from which the profiles used in color management systems are built up. Dot gain refers to the phenomenon in printing causing the printed ink dots appear bigger than their reference size in the original bitmap. LÄS MER
25. The Missing link : Business Models Lock-in in Sociotechnical Transitions
Sammanfattning : Societal and environmental challenges present challenges for our current industrial systems. In order to respond to these difficulties, various alternative systems have been suggested, as they promise sustainability and increased societal quality of life enabled by innovative technologies.
