  1. 1. Validation of antibodies for tissue based immunoassays

    Författare :Sandra Andersson; Anna Asplund; Fredrik Pontén; Kenneth Wester; Mike Taussig; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Antibody validation; Conjugation; Estrogen receptor-beta; IHC; ISH; Lymphohematopoietic tissues; Proteomic; RNAseq; TMA; Transcriptomic; Patologi; Pathology;

    Sammanfattning : In situ protein detection in human tissues using antibodies reveals the cellular protein localization, and affinity-based proteomic studies can help to discover proteins involved in the development of diseases. However, antibodies often suffer from cross-reactivity, and the lack of positive and negative tissue controls for uncharacterized proteins complicates the mapping of the proteome. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Ribosome display for selection and evolution of affibody molecules

    Författare :Sebastian Grimm; Per-Åke Nygren; Mike Taussig; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; affibody; ribosome display; phage display; combinatorial protein engineering; library; murine IgG1; SATB1; Ras; Raf; Genetic engineering including functional genomics; Genteknik inkl. funktionsgenomik; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Affinity proteins are invaluable tools in biotechnological and medical applications. This thesis is about combinatorial protein engineering principles for the generation of novel affinity proteins to purify mouse immunoglobulin, detect a potential cancer marker protein or inhibit a cell proliferation pathway. 3. 3. Microfluidic Methods for Protein Microarrays

    Författare :Michael Hartmann; Johan Roeraade; Mike Taussig; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Protein microarray technology has an enormous potential for in vitro diagnostics (IVD)1. Miniaturized and parallelized immunoassays are powerful tools to measure dozens of parameters from minute amounts of sample, whilst only requiring small amounts of reagent. LÄS MER
