    Sammanfattning : Amyloid-β (Aβ) is the toxic peptide implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer Disease (AD). Accumulation of Aβ has been shown in brain mitochondria from AD patients and AD mice models. Under normal conditions, the glomerular barrier restricts the passage of macromolecules such as albumin while it is highly permeable to water and small solutes.
