21. White light and x-ray digital speckle photography
Sammanfattning : The goals of this work were not only to develop new measuring techniques, but also to validate their performance, in terms of accuracy, spatial resolution, etc., by performing carefully chosen experiments. The measuring techniques were also to be applicable to industrial problems in production, control or product development. LÄS MER
22. Polarization-Resolved Particle Holography
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, measurement of particle fields using digital holography is the main subject. The questions investigated consider positioning, identification and sizing of nanometer and micrometer particles. The thesis explore these topics using both simulations and experimental measurements. 23. Mechanism-based flow stress model for Ti-6Al-4V : applicable for simulation of additive manufacturing and machining
Sammanfattning : Ti-6Al-4V has remarkable properties such as high specific mechanical properties (viz. stiffness, strength, toughness, fatigue resistance), corrosion resistance, biocompatibility etc. These properties make it attractive for applications in aerospace, chemical industry, energy production, surgical implants, etc. LÄS MER
24. Studies on structural and biomechanical responses in seat integrated safety belt configurations
Sammanfattning : The common 3-point safety belt usually has some anchor points on the car body. However, it is also possible to mount all anchor points on the seat structure. In general, different studies show some advantages with seat integrated safety belts. Thus, further investigations are motivated. LÄS MER
25. A Study on Sandwich Structures : Development, Mechanical Characterization and Numerical Modeling
Sammanfattning : Legislative demands force the automotive industry to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. At the same time, crashworthiness must not be compromised. A ve-hicle’s GHG emissions, such as carbon dioxide, is dependent on its fuel consump-tion. Lowering the vehicle weight, reducing fuel consumption, will therefor reduce emissions. LÄS MER
