1. Computational methods for on-line shape inspection
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis describes computational methods that solve problems occurring in industrial on-line shape quality inspection of produced items. These items are measured and compared with their corresponding CAD object. The meaning of on-line is that the inspection is done on-line in the production line, i.e. LÄS MER
2. Computational methods for shape verification of free-form surfaces
3. Modelling Mechanics of Fibre Network using Discrete Element Method
Sammanfattning : Low-density fibre networks are a fundamental structural framework of everyday hygiene products, such as baby diapers, incontinence and feminine care products, bathroom tissue and kitchen towels. These networks are a random assembly of fibres, loosely bonded and oriented in the plane direction. LÄS MER
4. Blue Oceans with Blue Mussels - Management and planning of mussel farming in coastal ecosystems
Sammanfattning : Eutrophication is one of the largest and most serious global threats to the marine environment. The effect of eutrophication has become increasingly clear during recent time, and major economic and political efforts are being made to tackle its causes and consequences in Sweden and its surrounding seas. 5. On the mechanics of pulp fibre networks - a combined numerical, theoretical and experimental study
Sammanfattning : This work explores mechanics of fibre networks, especially for pulp fibre networks commonly found in hygiene products, such as baby diapers, incontinence and feminine care products, bathroom tissue and kitchen towels. Given that the main functionalities of these products are directly dependent on network configuration, designing these complex network structures for better performance, better utilisation of materials and less resources used requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of the structure and properties on the fibre level.
