21. Silicon carbide field-effect devices studied as gas sensors for exhaust gas monitoring
Sammanfattning : Metal-insulator-silicon carbide (MIS) structures have been studied as gas sensors. We have investigated how the sensors detect gases, how fast they do that, and how they could be used for exhaust gas monitoring. We have prepared simple field-effect devices, MIS-capacitors and Schottky diodes, on silicon carbide with platinum gates. 22. Protons in In-doped BaZrO3: incorporation, distribution and local environments
Sammanfattning : Acceptor doped proton conducting oxides are currently of large interest for their potential application as electrolyte materials in the future generation of solid oxide fuel cells. However, their proton conductivities are still lower than the target conductivity required for practical applications. LÄS MER
23. Development and Assessment of Regeneration Methods for Commercial Automotive Three-Way Catalysts
Sammanfattning : Car exhaust catalysts were introduced in the early 1980’s, to limit the release of pollutants such as hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides. These catalysts contain noble metals such as palladium (Pd), platinum (Pt) and rhodium (Rh) and are able to simultaneously abate all three of the above-mentioned pollutants, hence the name three-way catalyst (TWC). 24. On tissue reactions to dentin as a bone substitute material
Sammanfattning : Background Reconstruction of the jaws due to resorption of the alveolar crest may require bone augmentation prior to installation of endosseous implants. Active research on new bone graft materials with bone regeneration ability equivalent to autogenous bone but without the limitations of allogenic, xenogenic and synthetic bone are constantly ongoing. 25. Temperature and the synchrony of plant-insect interactions
Sammanfattning : Increasing temperatures resulting from climate change have within recent years been shown to advance phenological events in a large number of species worldwide. Species can differ in their response to increasing temperatures, and understanding the mechanisms that determine the response is therefore of great importance in order to understand and predict how a warming climate can influence both individual species, but also their interactions with each other and the environment.
