26. G-equivariant convolutional neural networks
Sammanfattning : Over the past decade, deep learning has revolutionized industry and academic research. Neural networks have been used to solve a multitude of previously unsolved problems and to significantly improve the state-of-the-art on other tasks, in some cases reaching superhuman levels of performance. 27. Essays on Elite Networks in Sweden : Power, social integration, and informal contacts among political elites
Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to present work on a number of salient characteristics of elite relations in Sweden, studied from a social network analytic perspective. Elite integration, the distribution of elite power, and the significance of elites’ informal relations represent the three main themes explored in the original studies that comprise the thesis. 28. A Node-Link Perspective on the Impact of Local Conditions in Sensor Networks
Sammanfattning : Sensor networks are made up of small battery-powered sensing devices with wireless communication capabilities, enabling the network to monitor the environment in which it is deployed. Through their flexible and cable-free design these networks open up for new deployment scenarios that were previously not plausible such as during a natural disaster. LÄS MER
29. Single frequency broadcasting networks
Sammanfattning : An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) schemeallows all transmitters in a radio network to transmitidentical signals in the same frequency block, forming a socalled Single Frequency Network (SFN). By avoiding frequencyreuse, substantial improvements in bandwidth utilisation arepossible. LÄS MER
30. HIV/AIDS in Sweden and the United Kingdom : policy networks 1982-1992
Sammanfattning : The focus of this study is on the development and influence of HIV/AIDS policy networks in Sweden and United Kingdom during the period 1982-92, from the period when the lethal disease which was later named AIDS first appeared in the two countries, to the time when HIV/AIDS policy was integrated into the main policy field of infectious diseases. The networks are defined as structural arrangements between organisations and individuals, who are in frequent contact with one another in order to prevent HIV infection, to reduce the personal and social impact of HIV infection, and to care for those already infected.
