16. Integrative Analysis of Dynamic Networks
Sammanfattning : Networks play a central role in several disciplines such as computational biology, social network analysis, transportationplanning and many others; and consequently, several methods have been developed for network analysis. However, in many cases, the study of a single network is insufficient to discover patterns with multiple facets and subtlesignals. LÄS MER
17. Regionalpolitik i förändring : en fallstudie av regionalpolitikens aktörer och former i Åre kommun
Sammanfattning : Regional politics is changing; it is transforming from being mainly a responsibility of the central state to a concern that is more for the regional or local governments. At the same time, there are signs of a transformation of the political system in general. LÄS MER
18. On Service Optimization in Community Network Micro-Clouds
Sammanfattning : Internet coverage in the world is still weak and local communities are required to come together and build their own network infrastructures. People collaborate for the common goal of accessing the Internet and cloud services by building Community networks (CNs).The use of Internet cloud services has grown over the last decade. LÄS MER
19. Learning Destinations : The complexity of tourism development
Sammanfattning : Our world is becoming increasingly complex, and is rapidly changingwith distances being reduced. Societies today are also in atransition from traditional production industries to increasingreliance on communication, consumption, services and experience. Asone of these emerging ‘new industries’, tourism is part of thismovement. LÄS MER
20. Peakflow response of stream networks : implications of physical descriptions of streams and temporal change
Sammanfattning : Through distributed stream network routing, it has quantitatively been shown that the relationship between flow travel time and discharge varies strongly nonlinearly with stream stage and with catchment-specific properties.Physically derived distributions of water travel times through a stream network were successfully used to parameterise the streamflow response function of a compartmental hydrological model.
