11. Active Noise Control in Aircraft : Algorithms and Applications
Sammanfattning : The thesis consists of five papers which are divided into three main parts. Parts A and B deal with active noise control in a propeller aircraft application, whereas Part C deals with active noise control in a helicopter application. LÄS MER
12. Selected Aspects of Navigation and Path Planning in Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Sammanfattning : Unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) are an important future technology with early generations already being used in many areas of application encompassing both military and civilian domains. This thesis proposes a number of integration techniques for combining control-based navigation with more abstract path planning functionality for UASs. LÄS MER
13. Prehospital advanced airway management in the Nordic countries
Sammanfattning : Tracheal intubation (TI) is often the preferred technique to secure the airway of an unconscious patient in the prehospital setting. Prehospital TI is associated with several challenges, including limited assistance, few airway rescue devices and environmental difficulties. LÄS MER
14. A geophysical investigation of carbonate build-ups in the Baltic Basin using reflection seismic and well data
Sammanfattning : During the Late Ordovician, the region around Gotland was part of a shallow epicratonic basin in the southern subtropics. Low latitudes, relatively warm sea temperatures and the presence of a shallow marine environment promoted algae to flourish and diverse carbonate build-ups such as carbonate mounds and reefs developed on the southern margin of Baltica. 15. Deductive Planning and Composite Actions in Temporal Action Logic
Sammanfattning : Temporal Action Logic is a well established logical formalism for reasoning about action and change that has long been used as a formal specification language. Its first-order characterization and explicit time representation makes it a suitable target for automated theorem proving and the application of temporal constraint solvers. LÄS MER
