11. Classical molecular dynamics simulations of collision-induced absorption : method development and evaluation
Sammanfattning : In this thesis collision-induced absorption (CIA) coefficients are computed using molec-ular dynamics (MD) simulations. Part I is dedicated to the theoretical frame of the method, from the classical theory radiation to the derivation of an absorption coefficient. LÄS MER
12. Efficient Memory Access and Synchronization in NoC-based Many-core Processors
Sammanfattning : In NoC-based many-core processors, memory subsystem and synchronization mechanism are always the two important design aspects, since mining parallelism and pursuing higher performance require not only optimized memory management but also efficient synchronization mechanism. Therefore, we are motivated to research on efficient memory access and synchronization in three topics, namely, efficient on-chip memory organization, fair shared memory access, and efficient many-core synchronization. 13. Gate Level Description of Synchronous Hardware and Automatic Verification Based on Theorem Proving
Sammanfattning : Today's hardware development industry faces enormous problems. The primary reason for this is that the complexity of state-of-the-art hardware devices is growing faster than the capacity of the tools that are used to check that they are correct. LÄS MER
14. Simplified models to evaluate nonlinear dynamics in hydropower rotors
Sammanfattning : In hydropower systems, it is essential to avoid catastrophic failures that lead to human and economic losses. Unfortunately, a hydropower rotor can behave abnormally since several nonlinear effects occur during start-up, shut-downs or when running at nominal speed. LÄS MER
15. Computation of EMC Properties of Slots and Printed Circuit Boards
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the numerical solution of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems for electronic systems, such as radiated emission, susceptibility and crosstalk on printed circuit boards and transmission through slots. The analysis of printed circuit boards is done by using an electric field integral equation (EFIE) expressed in the frequency domain, which is solved by using the method of moments. LÄS MER
