  1. 1. Laser-Based Investigations of Combustion Phenomena in Gas Turbine Related Burners

    Författare :Arman Subash; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Combustion; Gas turbine; Chemiluminescence; laser-based techniques; LIF; PIV; DLE; TARS; CH4; H2; OH; CH20; Equivalence ratio; flame stabilization; LBO; Flashback; RPL; Fysicumarkivet A:2018:Subash;

    Sammanfattning : Experiments were performed on various combustion devices to investigate the flames employing different optical measurement techniques under atmospheric pressure conditions. Non-intrusive laser-based techniques provided in-situ information concerning different parameters of the combustion process, with a high degree of temporal and spatial resolution. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Development of LPP-Burner for Industrial Gas Turbine Application

    Författare :Jonas Holmborn; Strömningsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermal engineering; Dry Low Emission DLE ; Lean Partially Premix LPP ; Combustion; Gas Turbine; Burner; applied thermodynamics; Termisk teknik; termodynamik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis reports the work done in the development of a modified Lean Premix Prevaporised (LPP) burner for the use in Alstom Power Sweden’s industrial gas turbines. Incentive for the development of the modified burner have been the need to increase the flame stability over the operating range for the burner, especially for the liquid fuel but also the gaseous fuel operation. 3. 3. Experimental studies of turbulent flames at gas turbine relevant burners and operating conditions

    Författare :Xin Liu; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Turbulent Combustion; Gas Turbine; Laser diagnostic; Fuel flexibility; Plasma-assisted combustion; Ammonia flame; High pressure;

    Sammanfattning : With the increasing demand of using alternative and renewable fuels, it becomes of vital importance to consider the fuel flexibility when designing a new burner for gas turbines. Hydrogen-enriched fuel and ammonia are two of these potential fuels, and they can significantly change the operability range of the gas turbines. LÄS MER
