1. On Structure Exploiting Numerical Algorithms for Model Predictive Control
Sammanfattning : One of the most common advanced control strategies used in industry today is Model Predictive Control (MPC), and some reasons for its success are that it can handle multivariable systems and constraints on states and control inputs in a structured way. At each time-step in the MPC control loop the control input is computed by solving a constrained finite-time optimal control (CFTOC) problem on-line. LÄS MER
2. Structure-Exploiting Numerical Algorithms for Optimal Control
Sammanfattning : Numerical algorithms for efficiently solving optimal control problems are important for commonly used advanced control strategies, such as model predictive control (MPC), but can also be useful for advanced estimation techniques, such as moving horizon estimation (MHE). In MPC, the control input is computed by solving a constrained finite-time optimal control (CFTOC) problem on-line, and in MHE the estimated states are obtained by solving an optimization problem that often can be formulated as a CFTOC problem. 3. Kommunindelning och demokrati : Om sammanläggning och delning av kommuner i Sverige
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the territorial dimension of democracy by studying the division of Swedish municipalities. It consists of two parts focusing on two types of changes to the division of municipalities: amalgamation and secession. The consequences of a series of amalgamation reforms are the starting point for the first part. 4. Efficient Simulation and Optimal Control for Vehicle Propulsion
Sammanfattning : Efficient drive cycle simulation of longitudinal vehicle propulsion models is an important aid for design and analysis of power trains. Tools on the market today mainly use two different methods for such simulations, forward dynamic or quasi-static inverse simulation. LÄS MER
5. Capacitance transient measurements on point defects in silicon and silicol carbide
Sammanfattning : Electrically active point defects in semiconductor materials are important because they strongly affect material properties like effective doping concentration and charge carrier lifetimes. This thesis presents results on point defects introduced by ion implantation in silicon and silicon carbide. LÄS MER
