  1. 6. Designing guidance along audio-haptically augmented paths in a city environment

    Författare :Delphine Szymczak; Certec - Rehabiliteringsteknik och Design; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Activity theory; Cultural historical; design; evaluation; iterative design; user-centered design; audio-tactile; multimodal; mobile; pedestrian navigation; scanning; tourist guide; vibration; in-use; focus; environment;

    Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis is to show in a case study how it is possible to inform, with Activity Theory, the design and evaluation of a pedestrian navigation system that uses audio-tactile feedback. The case study consists of an iterative design process that results in a tourist guide application used in a mobile phone. LÄS MER

  2. 7. The Problem of Objects in Design of Health Care Information Systems

    Författare :Hans Kyhlbäck; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; object; object-orientation; wound care; digital photos; activity theory; computer science; information system;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about two different theoretical interpretations of objects and object-orientation in design of health care information systems – the interpretations of Activity Theory/Developmental Work Research and Computer Science respectively. One motive to my interest in objects of work and software, is to better understand the problems and possibilities in an inter¬dis¬ciplinary research project. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Multi-Agent Systems Supported Collaboration in Diabetic Healthcare

    Författare :Peng Zhang; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Multi-agent Systems MAS ; agent architecture; coordination; Diabetic healthcare collaboration; Activity Theory; holistic; hierarchy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis proposes a holistic and hierarchical architecture to Multi-agent System design, in order to resolve the collaboration problem in diabetic healthcare system. A diabetic healthcare system is a complex and social system in the case that it involves many actors and interrelations. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Being connected to the world through a robot

    Författare :Patrik Björnfot; Victor Kaptelinin; Karin Danielsson; Rikard Harr; Mattias Arvola; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Human-Computer Interaction; Interaction Design; Robotic Telepresence; Mobile Robotic Presence; Activity Theory; Phenomenology; Embodiment; human-computer interaction; människa-datorinteraktion;

    Sammanfattning : Robotic telepresence systems enable humans to be present physically and socially in a distant environment. Robotic telepresence technology is the latest in the line of communication technology development. The unique feature of such technology is that its users can act in a distant environment and interact with other people through these systems. LÄS MER
