  1. 11. Cob(I)alamin as a Quantitative Tool for Analysis, Metabolism and Toxicological Studies of Electrophilic Compounds : Butadiene Epoxides, Glycidamide and Sucralose

    Författare :Hitesh Vijay Motwani; Margareta Törnqvist; Bernard T Golding; Johanna Haglund; Wolfgang Buckel; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Environmental chemistry; Miljökemi; Environmental Chemistry; miljökemi;

    Sammanfattning : Vitamin B12 can be reduced to cob(I)alamin [Cbl(I)], which is one of the most powerful nucleophiles known and referred to as a “supernucleophile”. Cbl(I) was applied as a tool in toxicological studies of the air pollutant 1,3-butadiene (BD), the toxicant acrylamide (AA) present in many foods, and the artificial sweetener sucralose. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Experimental and Theoretical Studies of Cis-Trans Photoisomerizations and Conditions for Effective Catalysis

    Författare :Helene Möllerstedt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; catalysis; triplet state; quantum chain process; cis-trans isomerization; adiabatic; potential energy surface; density functional theory; energy transfer;

    Sammanfattning : Triplet-sensitized cis-trans photoisomerizations have been investigated both experimentally and theoretically. Mapping of the reaction path for isomerization of 1,4-bis(1-propenyl)benzene (1) on the triplet state energy surface has been done by quantum yield measurements and laser flash photolysis. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Molecular genetic alterations in chemically-induced lymphomas

    Författare :Shi-Mei Zhuang; V. Peter Collins; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Lymphoma is one of the most common malignancies in humans. Its incidence has increased rapidly in the past 30 years. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the development of lymphomas are largely unknown.Environmental carcinogens play an important role in tumorigenesis. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Notch signalling in carcinogenesis : With special emphasis on T-cell lymphoma and colorectal cancer

    Författare :Jonas Ungerbäck; Peter Söderkvist; Ola Hermanson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Notch signalling; T-cell lymphoma; colorectal cancer; Wnt signalling; transcription; Medical cell biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The Notch signalling pathway is an evolutionary conserved pathway, named after the Notch receptors, Notch1-4 in mammals, which upon cell-cell contact and ligand binding releases the intracellular domain (NICD). NICD translocates into the nucleus where it binds the transcriptional repressor RBP-Jk, which together with co-activators belonging to the Mastermind-like family of proteins form a transcriptional activation complex.
