  1. 1. Condition Monitoring in Machining Using Internal Sensor Signals

    Författare :Jari Repo; Cornel Mihai Nicolescu; Terje Lien; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Condition monitoring; machine tool; machining process; milling; position encoders; tool wear detection; signal analysis; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Condition monitoring of critical machine tool components and machining processes is a key factor to increase the availability of the machine tool and to achieve a more robust machining process. Any failure in the machining process and machine tool components may have negative effects on the final produced part. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Towards Model-Based Condition Monitoring of Railway Switches and Crossings

    Författare :Marko Milosevic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sleeper void; Switches crossings; condition indicators; embedded sleeper accelerometer; multi-body simulations; dynamic vehicle–track interaction; MBS; S C; wheel–rail contact forces; condition monitoring; crossing rail geometry; displacement reconstruction.; model calibration;

    Sammanfattning : Railway switches and crossings (S&C, turnouts) connect different track sections and create a railway network by allowing for trains to change between tracks. This functionality comes at a cost as the load-inducing rail discontinuities in the switch and crossing panels cause much higher degradation rates for S&C compared to regular plain line track. 3. 3. Failure Monitoring and Asset Condition Assessment in Water Supply Systems

    Författare :Dalius Misiunas; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mechanical engineering; reglerteknik; robotteknik; Automatiska system; Water supply; failure; detection; monitoring; location; bursts; hydraulics; leakage; asset management; condition assessment; pipelines; pipe networks; Automation; control engineering; robotics; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, different aspects of failure management in urban water supply systems are discussed. As assets are getting older, the number of pipe failures is increasing and an efficient failure management strategy becomes important. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Machining Monitoring and Control : Based on Parametric Modelling

    Författare :Mats Bejhem; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Machining Control; tool condition monitoring; in-process dynamic stability monitoring and control; optimisation of cutting conditions; MC; DSP; TCM; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this work was the development of aMachining Control prototype system for turning, whichintegrates three fundamental aspects of Machining Controltechnology: Monitoring, Control and Optimisation. MachiningControl refers to the detection and automatic handling ofdisturbances in machining processes. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Condition monitoring of machine tools and machining processes using internal sensor signals

    Författare :Jari Repo; Mihai Nicolescu; Dragos Axiente; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; condition monitoring; machine tool; machining process; milling; position encoders; signal analysis; Mechanical engineering; Maskinteknik; Materials science; Manufacturing and materials engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Condition monitoring of critical machine tool components and machining processes is a key factor to increase the availability of the machine tool and achieving a more robust machining process. Failures in the machining process and machine tool components may also have negative effects on the final produced part. LÄS MER
