  1. 11. CAR T cells for Immunotherapy of Cancer

    Författare :Tina Sarén; Magnus Essand; Martin Pule; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Chimeric antigen receptor CAR -T cells; Cancer immunotherapy; NAP; Tonic signaling; T cell exhaustion; B cell lymphoma; clinical trial; glioblastoma;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment by prolonging survival and even curing patients lacking other available therapies. Besides immune checkpoint inhibitors, one of the major advances is attributed to the success of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy in treating patients with B-cell malignancies. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Investigations of Proneural Glioblastoma to Identify Novel Therapeutic Targets

    Författare :Maria Boije; Lene Uhrbom; Bengt Westermark; Rolf Bjerkvig; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Glioma; proneural subtype; hallmarks; glioma initiating cells; S-SOX5; angiogenesis; stromal cells; Tumour biology; Tumörbiologi; Experimentell patologi; Experimental Pathology;

    Sammanfattning : Malignant glioma is a highly lethal and destructive disease with no proper cure. We have investigated some of the hallmarks of cancer in connection to glioma and found ways to disrupt these and prevent tumor growth. The work is done within the context of a glioma subtype distinguished by activation of PDGF signaling termed the proneural subtype. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Mutation and immune profiling of non-small cell lung cancer

    Författare :Linnéa La Fleur; Johan Botling; Fernando López-Ríos; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Non-small cell lung cancer; Tumor microenvironment; Tumor-associated macrophages; Immune infiltrates; PD-L1; Mutation patterns; Immune therapy; MARCO; TP53; STK11; KRAS;

    Sammanfattning : Several novel therapies that target molecular alterations and immune checkpoints in lung cancer have been introduced in the last decade. Still, only a minority of patients obtain long term disease control and overall survival remains poor. LÄS MER

  4. 14. CD19-targeting CAR T Cells for Treatment of B Cell Malignancies : From Bench to Bedside

    Författare :Hannah Karlsson; Angelica Loskog; Karl-Johan Malmberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; chimeric antigen receptors; CAR T cells; T cell therapy; immunotherapy; CD19; Bcl-2 family inhibitors; B cell malignancies; Klinisk immunologi; Clinical Immunology;

    Sammanfattning : Immunotherapy for cancer is a young research field progressing at high speed. The first chimera of an antibody and a signaling chain was designed by Zelig Eshhar and was later further developed to enhance existing T cell therapy by combining a single-chain fragment of an antibody with the CD3 zeta chain of the TCR complex. 5. 15. Adult Neural Stem Cells-Influence of Stroke, Inflammation and Aging

    Författare :Henrik Ahlenius; Lund Neurologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; inflammation; Neural stem cells; adult; neurogenesis; stroke; aging; TNF-R1; TNF-α;

    Sammanfattning : Neural stem cells (NSCs) in the embryo generate neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, the principal cells of the central nervous system (CNS), which contribute to the full diversity of the brain. Some NSCs persist in the adult brain and ensures neurogenesis throughout adult life in the subventricular zone (SVZ) and the subgranular zone (SGZ). LÄS MER
