11. Radiation properties of coil-coated steel in building envelope surfaces and the influence on building thermal performance
Sammanfattning : Recent studies have shown that the optical properties of building exterior surfaces are important in terms of energy use and thermal comfort. While the majority of the studies are related to exterior surfaces, the radiation properties of interior surfaces are less thoroughly investigated. LÄS MER
12. The role of anti-collagen type II antibodies in the pathogenesis and prognosis of rheumatoid arthritis
Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) which affects 0.5-1% of the world population and is characterised by joint erosions and presence of the autoantibodies anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) and rheumatoid factor. LÄS MER
13. Fcγ-receptors in systemic autoimmune conditions : lessons from murine mercury-induced autoimmunity
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we investigated the role of activating (FcγRI, FcγRIII) and inhibitory (FcγRIIB) Fcγ-receptors on systemic autoimmunity using two mouse strains, DBA/1 (H-2q) and BALB/c mice (H-2d), susceptible to induction of autoimmunity by mercury (Hg).Fc-receptors for IgG (FcγR) link cellular and humoral immune responses, control the balance between activating and inhibitory immune responses and are important in the development of several autoimmune diseases. 14. Immune Complex Regulated Cytokine Production in Rheumatic and Lymphoproliferative Diseases
Sammanfattning : Immune complexes (ICs) are produced during normal immune responses and facilitate clearance of foreign antigens. ICs not efficiently cleared from the circulation can cause tissue damage. This might happen if ICs are formed with autoantibodies and autoantigens. LÄS MER
15. Anti-Collagen Type II Autoantibodies in an Acute Phenotype of Early Rheumatoid Arthritis
Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease with systemic inflammatory features that primarily affects small peripheral joints. Type II collagen (CII), is the most abundant collagen type in joint cartilage. Antibodies against CII (anti-CII) are found in a subpopulation of RA patients. LÄS MER
