To date, there is no uniform worldwide guideline for when to induce a pregnant woman who has passed her estimated due date.     Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to study how early breast-feeding would be influenced by pethidine given during labour and by an emergency Caesarean section. Eighteen mother-infant pairs which were exposed and 26 which were not exposed to pethidine during labour were observed the first two hours after birth. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Lactate concentration is reported to be high in amniotic fluid (AF). Prelabour rupture of membranes (PROM) occur in about 20% of all pregnancies. The condition is associated with fetal and maternal complications, and might be a marker of imminent delivery. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background: Since the introduction of modern cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by Peter Safar in the late 1950s, a tremendous amount of work and scientific discovery has expanded our knowledge of cardiac arrest (CA), made resuscitation a core skill of health care providers and improved survival substantially.
