6. Resource and Environmental Impacts of Resource-Efficiency Measures Applied to Electronic Products
Sammanfattning : Natural resources such as ecosystems, land, water and metals underpin the functioning of economies and human well-being, and are becoming increasingly scarce due to growth in population and affluence. Metals are increasingly demanded for their specific properties as modern technology develops. LÄS MER
7. In-situ Investigations of Lithium-Sulfur Batteries
Sammanfattning : As the demand for high energy-density storage devices increases, we must look beyond the current state of the art technology, the lithium-ion battery. Lithium-ion battery technologies are approaching their theoretical limit in terms of capacity, and now that the demand for longer-range electric vehicles (EVs) and the implementation of grid storage is increasing, we need to provide technologies that can go beyond what is currently possible. 8. Socio-material mediations : learning, knowing and self-produced media within healthcare
Sammanfattning : The thesis discusses lessons learned and issued raised when exploring how self-produced rich media can facilitate sharing of meaning between healthcare professionals at an intensive care unit and between healthcare professionals and patients within a hand surgery clinic. Design experiments conducted at the intensive care unit focused on how healthcare professionals could collaboratively produce ‘best practice’ videos displayed on handheld devices and accessed through barcodes placed out in the unit. 9. The material distribution method : analysis and acoustics applications
Sammanfattning : For the purpose of numerically simulating continuum mechanical structures, different types of material may be represented by the extreme values {,1}, where 0.... LÄS MER
10. Modelling of the Fletcher-Gent effect and obtaining hyperelastic parameters for filled elastomers
Sammanfattning : The strain amplitude dependency , i.e. the Fletcher-Gent effect and Payne effect, and the strain rate dependency of rubber with reinforcing fillers is modelled using a modified boundary surface model and implemented uniaxially. LÄS MER
