12. Magnetic deflagration and detonation in crystals of nanomagnets
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we cover the dynamics of the macro magnetic transformations (spin avalanches) in crystals of molecular nanomagnets, also known as magnetic deflagration and detonation.Taking a single-molecule Hamiltonian, we calculate the dependence of Zeeman energy and the activation energy as a function of an external magnetic field at different angles relative to the easy axis of the crystal. 14. Memory Effects on Iron Oxide Filled Carbon Nanotubes
Sammanfattning : In this Licentiate Thesis, the properties and effects of iron and iron oxide filled carbon nanotube (Fe-CNT) memories are investigated using experimental characterization and quantum physical theoretical models. 15. Titled and graded anisotropy FePt and FePtCu thin films for the application of hard disk drive and spin torque oscillators
Sammanfattning : The FePt and FePtCu thin films with graded anisotropy and titled anisotropy are utilized to solve both the magnetic recording ‘‘trilemma’’ of the hard disk drives (HDDs) and the large field operation problem of spin torque oscillators (STOs).
