21. E-mental health interventions for informal caregivers : Development with a focus on implementation
Sammanfattning : The four studies within this thesis contributed to the identification of key factors to be considered when designing and implementing e-mental health (e-MH) interventions for informal caregivers. Study I was a mixed-methods systematic review to examine factors related to the effectiveness and implementation of e-MH interventions for informal caregivers of adults with chronic diseases. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Depression, anxiety and excessive weight are public health concerns that have been associated with an increased risk and worse prognosis of coronary heart disease. Remote delivery of psychological interventions may be an effective preventive strategy to improve these lifestyle-related risk factors as treatment may be delivered to many people at a low cost and reduce stigma related to seeking help. 23. Psychological perspectives on fear of birth : heterogeneity, mechanisms and treatment
Sammanfattning : Although it is medically safe to give birth in most western countries, the vast majority of pregnant women experience some kind of anxiety, fear or worry in relation to their pregnancy or the upcoming childbirth. Most pregnant women find ways of coping with these issues but, for many, fear of birth is a significant source of distress during pregnancy, with negative consequences both when giving birth and in the postpartum period. 24. Developing novel measures and treatments for gambling disorder
Sammanfattning : Background: While gambling is an activity that seems to have entertained humanity for millennia, it is less clear why problematic gambling behavior may persist despite obvious negative consequences, from a research and clinical perspective. With the introduction of the 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM–5), gambling was equated with alcohol and drug use and labeled an addictive disorder, Gambling Disorder (GD). 25. Treatment of alcohol dependence in primary care
Sammanfattning : Alcohol dependence is a common disorder and contributes to substantial morbidity and mortality globally. Only 10-20 percent engage in treatment, which makes alcohol dependence the mental disorder with the largest treatment gap. Most individuals with alcohol dependence have a dependence of low to moderate severity. LÄS MER
