  1. 16. Uncertainty modeling for load flow and hosting capacity analysis of urban electricity distribution systems

    Författare :Umar Hanif Ramadhani; Joakim Widén; Joakim Munkhammar; Bri-Mathias Hodge; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Uncertainty model; Photovoltaics; Electric vehicle; Residential buildings; Hosting capacity; Probabilistic load flow; Electricity distribution systems; Urban Energy Systems; Engineering Science with specialization in Civil Engineering and Built Environment; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot byggteknik och byggd miljö;

    Sammanfattning : Urban demographics are changing, with more than half of the global population currently residing in urban areas. Traditionally, cities are often seen as passive energy consumers relying on external centralized systems. Motivated by the need to mitigate climate change, a shift is underway as cities actively shape energy systems. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Wave Energy Converters : An experimental approach to onshore testing, deployments and offshore monitoring

    Sammanfattning : The wave energy converter (WEC) concept developed at Uppsala University consists of a point absorbing buoy, directly connected to a permanent magnet linear generator. Since 2006, over a dozen full scale WECs have been deployed at the Lysekil Research Site, on the west coast of Sweden. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Energy consumption prediction and routing for electric commercial vehicles

    Sammanfattning : With the recent growing interest for electric vehicles as one of the initiatives to help tackle pollution and climate change, several opportunities and challenges emerge. This kind of vehicle releases no tailpipe emissions, is quieter, more energy efficient in terms of tank-to-wheels and simpler, which can lead to less maintenance. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Production planning of CHP plants integrated with bioethanol production and local renewables

    Författare :Mahsa Daraei; Eva Thorin; Anders Avelin; Erik Dotzauer; Natasa Nord; Mälardalens högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : Production planning of an energy system is dependent on parameters such as energy demand and energy conversion technologies, which are influential in making decisions on operation strategy and optimal performance of the system. In accordance with the European Union energy policy, the share of renewable resources in the energy supply is growing. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Evaluation of Modular Thermally Driven Heat Pump Systems

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Eva Thorin; Chris Bales; Christian Schweigler; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sorption heat pump; sorption module; thermochemical energy storage; artificial neural network; built environment; solar energy; gas-driven heat pump; solar cooling; heating and cooling; renewable energy; energy efficiency; experimental; simulation; analytical; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik; Reesbe företagsforskarskola;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of primary energy use within the European Union, therefore reductions in the energy use intensity of this sector are critical in decreasing total energy usage. Given that the majority of energy used within the built environment is for space conditioning and domestic hot water preparation, prudence would suggest that decreasing primary energy used for these end purposes would have the biggest overall environmental impact.
