  1. 11. Decentralization in energy systems - Low-carbon technologies and sector coupling on the household, community and city scales

    Författare :Verena Heinisch; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Prosumers; Energy system flexibility; Decentralization; Energy community; Smart city; Sector coupling; Electric vehicles; Energy systems modeling;

    Sammanfattning : The number of installations of distributed energy technologies, such as solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery systems, has increased dramatically in recent decades. The required transition towards a decarbonized energy system entails electrification of the different sectors. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The topical issue of climate change has increasingly become important as scenarios indicate an increase of 2.5–7.8°C in the global mean temperature by the end of this century, if no greenhouse gas emissions are reduced. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Towards electrified public bus transport : The case of Stockholm

    Författare :Maria Xylia; Semida Silveira; Maria Börjesson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electric bus; charging infrastructure; optimisation; public transport; fossil-free; transport planning; Sweden; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the challenge of road transport electrification using a systems approach for the particular context of Stockholm’s public transport system. The objective is to identify the benefits of large-scale bus electrification on energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the cost and planning considerations required for achieving such a shift. 5. 15. Interruptible Load as an Ancillary Service in Deregulated Electricity Markets

    Författare :Anh Tuan Le; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; reserve generation; least-cost planning.; interruptible load management; optimal power flow; ancillary services; deregulated electricity market; congestion management;

    Sammanfattning : Power companies world-wide have been restructuring their electric power systems from a vertically integrated entity to a deregulated, open-market environment. Previously, electric utilities usually sought to maximize the social welfare of the system with distributional equity as its main operational criterion. LÄS MER
