  1. 6. Wind power in thermal power systems

    Författare :Lisa Göransson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; integration; wind power; variation moderator; PHEV; storage;

    Sammanfattning : AbstractWind power is a key technology in the effort to transform the power system in order to reduce its climate impact. However, the ability of wind power to reduce CO2-emissions depends on the properties of the power system. LÄS MER

  2. 7. On direct hydrogen fuel cell vehicles : modelling and demonstration

    Författare :Kristina Haraldsson; Per Alvfors; Dougal J. Nelson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical engineering; direct hydrogen; Proton Exchange Membrane; PEM; fuel cell; fuel cell vehicle; fuel cell hybrid vehicles; on-board hydrogen storage; Kemiteknik; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, direct hydrogen Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems in vehicles are investigated through modelling, field tests and public acceptance surveys. A computer model of a 50 kW PEM fuel cell system was developed. The fuel cell system efficiency is approximately 50% between 10 and 45% of the rated power. LÄS MER

  3. 8. A geophysical investigation of carbonate build-ups in the Baltic Basin using reflection seismic and well data

    Författare :Tegan Levendal; Christopher Juhlin; Lars Nielsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Reflection seismic; Ordovician; Silurian; Carbonate mud mounds; Reefs; Gotland; Sweden; CAES; Seismic interpretation; OPAB dataset; 3D seismic; Geofysik med inriktning mot fasta jordens fysik; Geophysics with specialization in Solid Earth Physics;

    Sammanfattning : During the Late Ordovician, the region around Gotland was part of a shallow epicratonic basin in the southern subtropics. Low latitudes, relatively warm sea temperatures and the presence of a shallow marine environment promoted algae to flourish and diverse carbonate build-ups such as carbonate mounds and reefs developed on the southern margin of Baltica.
