21. Identification and Functional Significance of Aberrant Long Non-coding RNAs in Acute Myeloid Leukemia : Biological and Prognostic Implications
Sammanfattning : Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most frequently diagnosed type of acute leukemia in adults. It commonly affects people aged 60 or older, as incidence increases with age, and it is characterized by the accumulation of immature hematopoietic progenitor cells in the bone marrow. LÄS MER

23. Synthesis of functional derivatives of [B12H12]2- anion for boron neutron capture therapy, radiodiagnostics and radioimmunotherapy
Sammanfattning : Functional derivatives of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate anion [B12H12]2- are potential candidates for medical application in boron neutron capture therapy for cancer and as linkers for the introduction of radiohalogen label into biomolecules for radioimmunodiagnostics and radioimmunotherapy. In this study, new approaches for the synthesis of functional derivatives of the closo-dodecaborate anion were developed and a series of novel functional derivatives were prepared. 24. Sea cages, seaweeds and seascapes : Causes and consequences of spatial links between aquaculture and ecosystems
Sammanfattning : Aquaculture is of growing importance in the global seafood production. The environmental impact of aquaculture will largely depend on the type of environment in which the aquaculture system is placed. LÄS MER
25. Surgical Management of Rib Fractures Following Trauma
Sammanfattning : Background: Surgical management of chest wall injuries has received increasing attention in recent years. The aim of this thesis was to study the mechanism of injury (MOI) in relation to chest wall injury patterns and short- and long-term outcome of surgery in patients with multiple rib fractures and unstable thoracic cage injuries.
