  1. 6. Aerogel-based plasters for renovation of buildings in Sweden: Identification of possibilities, information deficiencies and challenges

    Författare :Ali Naman Karim; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; compatibility; durability; plaster; mechanical; render; energy efficient retrofitting; hygrothermal; renovation; listed building; Aerogel;

    Sammanfattning : Aerogel-based plasters are a class of high energy efficient wall finishes with declared thermal conductivities around 30-50 mW/(m∙K). Aerogel-based plasters are promising alternatives to substitute conventional insulation materials when renovating uninsulated building envelopes. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Documentation and Maintenance Planning Model – DoMaP A response to the need for conservation and long-term maintenance of façades of modern multi-apartment buildings Based on case studies in Göteborg in Sweden

    Författare :Pär Meiling; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; public housing companies; façade-materials; Sustainable integrated conservation; long-term maintenance operations; deterioration; optical measurement techniques; generic multi-apartment buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Sustainable maintenance and renovation of façades on generic multi-apartment buildings from late 1950s through 70s constitute vital challenges for the housing companies owned by City of Göteborg. These challenges comprise a wide array of issues, such as deterioration and damages in occurring façade materials, status assessments, technical improvements, reduction of energy consumption, and up-keeping of housing qualities and tenants attraction. 3. 8. Virtual Collaborative Design Environment: Information structure and interfaces

    Författare :Shahin Sateei; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cross-project learning; Collaborative Virtual Environment CVE ; Design Guidelines; virtual reality; Head-mounted display HMD ; User involvement;

    Sammanfattning : The failure to identify design issues in early phases of construction projects has been identified as a significant cause of costly rework, as these issues can impact the building occupants’ abilities to efficiently perform their daily work tasks. Therefore, it is crucial to consider their feedback when design reviewing. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Applicability of continuous improvements in industrialised construction design process

    Författare :Erik Söderholm; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Träbyggnad; Timber Structures;

    Sammanfattning : The construction design phase is currently the most time consuming part of the industrialised construction process and the bottleneck for further streamlining the process at most industrialised construction companies in Sweden. One explanation is that every construction design project is considered as something new and unique, wherefore use of experiences to promote continuous improvement is limited (Meiling 2008). LÄS MER

  5. 10. Assessment of sustainability aspects when making pre-renovation decisions

    Författare :Karin Farsäter; Avdelningen för Installations- och klimatiseringslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ombyggnad; Livscykelanalys LCA ; Potentiell klimatpåverkan; Renoveringsbeslut; Refurbishment; Retrofit; Life cycle assessment LCA ; Climate change potential;

    Sammanfattning : A considerable amount of Europe’s building stock needs to be renovated. The most common reasons for carrying out renovations are acute technical issues or the expiring life span of a building or its components. LÄS MER
