21. Strain rate dependent material model for polymer composites
Sammanfattning : We propose a micromechanical model that is able to predict the nonlinear behaviour and failure of unidirectional fibre reinforced polymer composites subjected to dynamic loading conditions. This novel material model is heterogeneous on the micro level and homogeneous on the ply level. LÄS MER
22. A Fracture Mechanics Approach to Study Hydrogen Embrittlement in High Strength Martensitic Steels
Sammanfattning : High strength steels that are subjected to hydrogen experience embrittlement where the mechanical properties are reduced, and premature failure of components may occur. Although the phenomenon has been recognized for over 150 years, it is not clear what drives embrittlement. LÄS MER
23. Uncertainty in Sliding Stability Analyses of Existing Concrete Gravity Dams with Bonded Concrete-Rock Interfaces
Sammanfattning : Safety assessment of existing dams becomes more and more important with their increasing age. In addition, new regulations, due to climate changes and changes in knowledge, demand a re-evaluation of the existing dams’ safety. LÄS MER
24. Investigations on the Serviceability Limit State of Dowel-Type Timber Connections
Sammanfattning : Dowel-type steel-to-timber connections are commonly used to transfer a large range of loads. Although they are simple to produce and assemble, the load-carrying behavior and the local stress and strain distribution within the connection area are highly complex. LÄS MER
25. Ground Improvement by Dry Deep Mixing Lime-Cement Column Panels as Excavation Support
Sammanfattning : Many urban areas near the coastal regions of Sweden are characterized by post-glacial clay deposits with very low undrained shear strength and high compressibility. Column type ground improvement by the Deep Mixing, DM, method using a binder mixture of lime and cement is commonly used in areas with poor soil conditions due to its cost-effectiveness, predominantly for settlement reduction and to improve the stability of embankments.
