  1. 11. Structural and sedimentological reconstruction of the inverted Vargfors basin : a base for 4D-modelling

    Författare :Tobias Bauer; Peter Sorjonen-Ward; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Palaeoproterozoic Skellefte mining district in northern Sweden covers an area of 120 by 30 km and is one of the most important mining districts in Europe, producing mainly Zn, Cu, Pb, As and Au from volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) and orogenic gold deposits.Detailed mapping of structures and stratigraphy within the sedimentary Vargfors Group combined with a structural analysis revealed a syn-extensional fault pattern of NW-SE-trending normal faults and associated NE-SW-trending transfer faults, creating the segmented sedimentary Vargfors basin. 2. 12. Diagenesis and Reservoir-Quality Evolution of Deep-Water Turbidites: Links to Basin Setting, Depositional Facies, and Sequence Stratigraphy

    Författare :Howri Mansurbeg; Sadoon Morad; Ihsan Al-Aasm; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Bedrock geology; Diagenesis; reservoir quality; active margin; passive margin; depositional facies; sequence stratigraphy; Berggrundsgeologi;

    Sammanfattning : A study of the distribution of diagenetic alterations and their impact on reservoir-quality evolution in four deep-water turbidite successions (Cretaceous to Eocene) from basins in active (foreland) and passive margins revealed the impact of tectonic setting, depositional facies, and changes in the relative sea level. Diagenetic modifications encountered in the turbiditic sandstones from the passive margin basins include dissolution and kaolinitization (kaolin has δ18OV-SMOW = +13. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Phylogenetic and phyloclimatic inference of the evolution of Potentilleae (Rosaseae)

    Författare :Mats H. Töpel; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Potentilla; Ivesia; Horkelia; allopolyploidization; TGGE; Beringia;

    Sammanfattning : Polyploidization has occurred many times during the evolution of angiosperms. Allopolyploidization is believed to be the process behind many of these genome duplications, and has resulted in a genetically diverse angiosperm flora. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Large-scale Runoff Generation and Routing : Efficient Parameterisation using High-resolution Topography and Hydrography

    Författare :Lebing Gong; Sven Halldin; C.-Y. Xu; Allan Rodhe; Thorsten Wagener; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Parameterisation; runoff generation; routing; WASMOD-M; hydrography; data uncertainty; topographic index; scale; river network; response function; HydroSHEDS; HYDRO1k; Dongjiang basin; Parametrisering; avrinningsbildning; flödessvarstid; WASMOD-M; hydrografi; topografiskt index; dataosäkerhet; skala; flödesnät; svarstidssfunktion; HYDRO1k; HydroSHEDS; Dongjiang; Hydrology; Hydrologi; Hydrology; Hydrologi;

    Sammanfattning : Water has always had a controlling influence on the earth’s evolution. Understanding and modelling the large-scale hydrological cycle is important for climate prediction and water-resources studies. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Characterizing and reconstructing 500 years of climate in the Baltic sea Basin

    Författare :Christin Eriksson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Climate; Sea ice; Baltic Sea; Atmospheric circulation; Statistical modelling; Wavelet; River runoff;

    Sammanfattning : Climate has always attracted considerable interest, and climate observations have been made in various ways for most of human history. Regional climate and how it varies is of particular interest, as it sets the scene for our everyday life. LÄS MER
