2. The role of CD30 in atopic allergy
Sammanfattning : The 120 kDa CD30 molecule belongs to the tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily and is expressed by activated lymphoid cells. Small populations of CD30+ cells have been detected in the peripheral lymphoid organs, as well as in the thymus. 3. Metachromatic cells and eosinophils in atopic children : A prospective study
Sammanfattning : Metachromatic cells and eosinophil leukocytes were studied prospectively in 64 newborns with and without a family history of atopic disease (FH). Cellfindings in nasal mucosa and peripheral blood were related to development of atopic symptoms up to 18 months of age. For this purpose, a gentle scraping method suitable for infants was developed.
