  1. 1. Retained Placenta and Postpartum Haemorrhage

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Johanna Belachew; Uppsala universitet.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; postpartum haemorrhage; retained placenta; secondary postpartum haemorrhage; retained placental tissue; threedimensional ultrasound; previous caesarean section; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : The aim was to explore the possibility to diagnose retained placental tissue and other placental complications with 3D ultrasound and to investigate the impact of previous caesarean section on placentation in forthcoming pregnancies.3D ultrasound was used to measure the volumes of the uterine body and cavity in 50 women with uncomplicated deliveries throughout the postpartum period. 2. 2. Preeclampsia – Studies on the Placenta and B-type Natriuretic Peptide

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Katja Junus; Uppsala universitet.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; BNP; B-type natriuretic peptide; early-onset preeclampsia; gene expression; NT-proBNP; placenta; preeclampsia; trophoblasts; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : Preeclampsia has several pathophysiological pathways, but the placenta has a central role. The pathophysiology appears to differ between the two subtypes – early- and late-onset preeclampsia. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The Effects of SSRI Treatment on Human Placenta and Embryo

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Helena Kaihola; Uppsala universitet.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; antenatal depression; embryo; embryo development; fluoxetine; gene expression; NGF; placenta; protein expression; Raf-1; ROCK; signaling pathways; SSRI; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : During pregnancy, 4 - 7% of women suffer from major depressive disorder. When antidepressive treatment is needed, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most commonly used. Although severe complications from SSRI treatment are rare, association with a number of adverse pregnancy and fetal outcomes has been found. LÄS MER

  4. 4. DNA methylation in the placenta and in cancerwith special reference to folate transporting genes

    Detta är en avhandling från Örebro : Örebro university

    Författare :Sanja Farkas; Örebro universitet.; [2014]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; DNA methylation; CRC; placenta; cervix; leukocytes; T-DMRs; folate; array; expression; Biomedicin; Biomedicine;

    Sammanfattning : DNA methylation is an epigenetic mechanism that regulates the gene transcription. Folate is used in cellular synthesis of methyl groups, nucleic acids and amino acids. In complex diseases like cancer and neural tube defects (NTD), various genetic and epigenetic alterations can be found that disrupt the normal cell function. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Role of Mammalian Target of Rapamycin in the Regulation of Amino Acid Transporters in the Human Placenta

    Detta är en avhandling från Örebro : Örebro university

    Författare :Sara Roos; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2008]
