31. Structured zeolite adsorbents for PSA applications
Sammanfattning : Zeolites are microporous crystalline aluminosilicates with unique properties, and are therefore used in adsorption processes, for membrane separation, and as catalysts. Thin zeolite films grown on honeycomb monolith supports represent a new type of material and may be used as structured catalysts and adsorbents, and improve the processes significantly. LÄS MER
32. Inbreeding, Effective Population Sizes and Genetic Differentiation : A Mathematical Analysis of Structured Populations
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers on various aspects of inbreeding, effective population sizes and genetic differentiation in structured populations, that is, populations that consist of a number of subpopulations. Three of the papers concern age structured populations, where in the first paper we concentrate on calculating the variance effective population size (NeV) and how NeV depends on the time between measurements and the weighting scheme of age classes. 33. Dealing with Network Partitions and Mergers in Structured Overlay Networks
Sammanfattning : Structured overlay networks form a major classof peer-to-peer systems, which are touted for their abilitiesto scale, tolerate failures, and self-manage. Any long livedInternet-scale distributed system is destined to facenetwork partitions. LÄS MER
34. Structured Representations for Explainable Deep Learning
Sammanfattning : Deep learning has revolutionized scientific research and is being used to take decisions in increasingly complex scenarios. With growing power comes a growing demand for transparency and interpretability. The field of Explainable AI aims to provide explanations for the predictions of AI systems. LÄS MER
35. Graph-structured multi-marginal optimal transport : Theory, applications, and efficient methods using entropy regularization
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with a class of multi-marginal optimal transport problems, which we call graph-structured multi-marginal optimal transport. The aim of the thesis is to work towards a unified framework for this class of problems. The included papers explore theoretical, computational, and practical aspects of the novel framework, e.g. LÄS MER
