  1. 1. Intraocular pressure clinical aspects and new measurement methods

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå universitet

    Författare :Gauti Jóhannesson; Umeå universitet.; [2011]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Intraocular pressure; glaucoma; tonometry; ISO; LASEK; CCT; curvature; MEDICINE Physiology and pharmacology Ophtalmology Ophtalmiatrics; MEDICIN Fysiologi och farmakologi Oftalmologi Oftalmiatrik; oftalmiatrik; Ophtalmology;

    Sammanfattning : Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement is a routine procedure and a fundament in glaucoma care. Elevated IOP is the main risk factor for glaucoma, and to date, reduction of IOP is the only possible treatment. In a retrospective clinical material, the prevalence of open angle glaucoma was estimated on the west coast of Iceland. LÄS MER

  2. 2. High pressure vulcanization crosslinking of diene rubbers without vulcanization agents

    Detta är en avhandling från Institutionen för polymerteknologi

    Författare :Martin Bellander; KTH.; [1998]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : High pressure vulcanization (HPV) is defined in this thesisas crosslinking of rubber materialsat elevated pressure andtemperature, without the use of any vulcanization agents. Thisis atotally new vulcanization technique, not used in theindustry today. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pulse-Synchronous Intramuscular Pressure Oscillations

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborg : University of Gothenburg

    Författare :Andreas Nilsson; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; compartment syndrome; chronic anterior compartment syndrome; intramuscular pressure; pulse-synchronous oscillations in intramuscular pressure; intramuscular arterial pulsations; fiber-optic technique;

    Sammanfattning : Background Intramuscular pressure (IMP) is measured in studies of tissue nutrition and in the diagnosis of compartment syndromes. Patients with compartment syndromes have an elevated IMP due to increased volume in a muscle compartment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Competing Under Pressure State Anxiety, Sports Performance and Assessment

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Psykologiska institutionen

    Författare :Carolina Lundqvist; GIH. Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan; Stockholms universitet.; [2006]

    Sammanfattning : Elevated levels of anxiety are a common response to stressful competitive sports situations, are known to moderate athletic performance and are referred to as an unpleasant emotional state associated with perceptions of situational threat. The empirical studies in this dissertation considered primarily psychometric, methodological and conceptual issues of relevance for the study of anxiety and sports performance. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Cerebral Hemodynamics through Intracrnial Pressure

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Psykologiska institutionen

    Författare :Sima Shahsavari; [2011]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Intracranial dynamics; Baroreceptor reflex; Secondary brain injury; Traumatic brain injury; Collapsible tubes; Intracranial pressure; Cushing reflex; Pulse wave propagation; Cerebral autoregulation; Cerebral compliance; Mathematical modelling;

    Sammanfattning : Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) continues to be a major problem worldwide. Today, intensive care of patients with TBI is mainly focused on preventing and treating secondary brain injuries. High pressure inside the intracranial cavity has been found to be an important feature of disturbed cerebral dynamics and secondary injuries. LÄS MER
